Defenders of the Earth (1986)

Episode Overview

Ming's scheme to cover the planet in a layer of frost hinges on the power of a Starblue Crystal, of which only three are known to exist. During a ceremony where Mandrake donates his Starblue Crystal to the Central City Museum, the Defenders fend off an attack from Ming's forces and manage to capture two of his Men of Frost, Elgar and Zikry. Rick employs a new device that restores humanity to the Men of Frost, prompting Elgar to reveal Ming’s plan for world domination. However, Zikry stays loyal to Ming and sabotages Dynak X, exposing his treachery. As Ming finds the final Starblue Crystal and activates the satellite, it seems the situation is dire. The Defenders launch their battle ships, engaging Ming's roboships in a fierce outer-space battle, ultimately destroying the satellite just in time.
