Episode Overview
Ming the Merciless has unleashed his latest evil invention: a household helper robot that has quickly become a top seller, now found in over a million homes, including Monitor. His sinister plan involves using a space satellite to send a hypno-beam through these robots, enslaving their owners. At Jedda's urging, Rick inspects his robot and uncovers Ming's plot, warning the Defenders. When Flash attempts to destroy the satellite, Ming's tractor beam captures his ship and pulls him towards Ice Station Earth. Meanwhile, Lothar, Mandrake, and the Phantom infiltrate Ming's fortress to rescue Flash. As Ming captures Mandrake and Lothar, the Phantom disrupts the robot factory. Just as Ming activates his hypno-beam, Rick back at Monitor deploys a frequency inhibitor, causing the robots to malfunction.
