Defenders of the Earth (1986)

Episode Overview

In an effort to showcase their skills during an obstacle course challenge, Rick, Jedda, and L.J. become overly competitive, putting themselves and their team at risk. Their reckless behavior continues when they engage in a dogfight against Ming's roboships, prompting their parents to take them to the Amazon for the Rites of Zesnan, a tribal warrior contest designed to nurture strong fighters. However, Ming intercepts a Dynak X signal and arrives in South America ahead of them, posing as a deity and turning the locals against the Defenders. As the young heroes navigate the warrior course, Ming traps the elder heroes with lethal sensor beam canons. After fending off an attack from local tribesmen, the young Defenders learn of Ming's presence. They regroup at the Terry and, working seamlessly together, turn the laser canons on each other, destroying them and forcing Ming to retreat in fear.
