Episode Overview
The Defenders travel with Lothar to his hometown in Jamaica for the dedication of a new children's wing at a local hospital in his name. During their visit, Dr. Barbeau reveals that a miraculous new drug is significantly helping the children, but it’s hard to procure due to a mythical sea serpent that has been pilfering it. A cult led by Papa Duke reveres the serpent, and L.J.'s friend Felice shares that her brother has joined the group. When L.J. sneaks into a cult ceremony, he gets captured while Felice manages to escape, discovering Papa Duke’s plan to incite the youth against their elders. L.J. is forced to consume the serpent's breath, granting him superhuman strength but also hypnotizing him to follow Papa Duke's commands. He abducts Kshin as a sacrifice while Rick and Jedds search for the creature in a submarine. The Defenders storm the cult, rallying the townspeople to take back control
