Episode Overview
Bailey finds himself isolated as the Salingers' silent treatment isn't working. He continues to drink heavily and misses an important game, disappointing Coach Petrocelli. Unable to remain sober, Bailey makes an advance on Callie, who confronts him about his serious issues. Meanwhile, Claudia seeks answers from Avery about their father, placing the blame for Bailey's struggles on him. Charlie reassures her that he overcame his own battles with alcohol and became a loving father. Griffin returns, and Julia spends the night with him. Later, Bailey picks up Owen from daycare and unexpectedly vanishes with him. When they reach home, Charlie throws Bailey out, prompting Sarah to chase after him. She tries to reach out, but he refuses to engage, and they end up in a car crash that injures Sarah. At the hospital, Bailey breaks down and pleads for Sarah's help.
