Episode Overview

In the Quickfire Challenge, chefs are tasked with reimagining the beloved Tex-Mex dish queso, with local culinary icon Chef Irma Galvan as the judge. For the Elimination Challenge, the action moves to a high school football stadium where the chefs are divided into two teams of seven, mentored by Top Chef alumni Sam Talbot and Dawn Burrell. Each team will create seven hearty, carb-centric dishes to compete in a thrilling face-off. The first team to score a touchdown will claim victory. Tom, Padma, and Gail are joined by renowned Chef Chris Shepherd and Top Chef Charleston champion Brooke Williamson on the judging panel.
