In Miami Beach, Florida, Jarod, determined to uncover corruption within the police force, decides to join the department to investigate the tragic death of a young boy recently reunited with his father. Along the way, he forms a bond with a spirited elderly woman who fears losing her adventurous spirit due to her deteriorating vision. Meanwhile, Miss Parker finds herself behind bars for breaching criminal code 369.7 - Unlawful Carrying and Possession of Concealed Weapon, following a tip-off from Jarod. With her incarcerated, Jarod seizes the chance to enlist a private investigator to gather leads about his mother.
