S01E03 Dog Gone
Episode Overview
Ponch and Jon are in pursuit of a runaway dog, which inadvertently leads to an accident. They manage to bring the dog back to Central, stowing it away in a truck. Meanwhile, some troublemakers sabotage Jon's motorcycle, mistakenly thinking it belongs to Ponch. They later pull over a motorcyclist who seems frozen in fear; after they stop him, he mutters about never wanting to ride again. The duo then chases a speeding car carrying a man suffering a heart attack, helping to stabilize him until an ambulance arrives. One of the saboteurs confesses to Getrear about their mischief, prompting Sarge to warn Ponch. Realizing the sabotage was aimed at Jon's bike, Ponch rushes to help. Jon ends up falling off his motorcycle but escapes without a scratch. In the end, the dog's owner arrives at CHP Central searching for his pet. Ponch retrieves the dog from the truck, only for it to relieve itself on Sarge’s motorcycle
