Shinji finds himself in a hospital bed, his mind blank about the previous night’s confrontation with the Angel. After facing rejection from his father, Misato takes it upon herself to invite Shinji to stay at her place. As night falls, fragments of the intense battle begin to resurface in Shinji's mind, bringing a mix of confusion and realization about his experiences.
