Episode Overview

The district is visited by a storyteller named Tommy Barringa, prompting Jack and Chris to attend his performance. Tommy is in love with a girl named Lindey, but her father disapproves of their relationship due to Tommy being black. Tensions rise when Lindey’s father suffers a dislocated shoulder, and Dougie claims responsibility for the injury. Jack doubts Dougie’s assertion, but Dougie stands firm. Ultimately, a confrontation breaks out between Tommy and Lindey's father, revealing that Tommy actually caused the dislocation. Tommy is imprisoned, where he tragically takes his own life.
