Overview
The New Fred and Barney Show brought the beloved Flintstones characters back to Saturday mornings in 1979, airing on NBC from February to October. This revival marked Henry Corden's debut as the voice of Fred Flintstone in a regular series. The episodes featured iconic characters like toddlers Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm, who had previously been seen as teens in The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show. Viewers enjoyed a mix of classic Flintstones tales alongside fresh adventures involving witches and werewolves, as well as playful parodies of late 1970s trends. Seven new episodes were later included in the package programs Fred and Barney Meet the Thing and Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo.
