Columbine finds herself destitute after losing her wealth in a bet with the Marquise de Foufou. When the Marquise is found dead under suspicious circumstances, Columbine becomes the main suspect. However, it remains unclear whether it was a case of murder or suicide. While the truth will eventually come to light, Columbine must first face her trial.
