Abby finds herself grappling with memories of her deceased husband when a fellow POW arrives in Sacramento. As she processes her emotions, she eventually reconciles with her family. Meanwhile, Nicholas experiences his first serious relationship, but soon discovers that dating isn't as enjoyable as he thought, especially when his girlfriend seems more fascinated by the bracelet he gifted her than by him. Additionally, Nancy grows weary of constantly lending money to her siblings.
