Murphy Brown (1988)

Episode Overview

Murphy's new assistant brews an excellent cup of coffee, but her schedule is packed, leaving little room for anything else. Murphy gets a call from a former Wall Street trader recently released from prison for insider trading, who wants to appear on her show. During the interview, he suggests using part of his wealth to organize a benefit run for breast cancer research and asks for Murphy's endorsement. Initially, she believes he has turned a new leaf as the event goes smoothly. However, she later learns he doubled the million dollars raised and finds out that public sentiment is divided—not on her decision, but on her association with him.
