Trevor has created a satellite named Aldis B, intended to accelerate human evolution, yet it poses a grave threat that could wipe out half of Earth's population. Determined to thwart Trevor's plans, Æon steals the remote control and hides it. While evading search teams, she discovers a hibernation pod containing a peculiar alien with detachable eyes and psionic powers, which neither breathes, eats, nor possesses reproductive organs. The alien is captured but manages to save Æon from a fire bomb thrown by its captor. Trevor examines the creature and finds it has been affected by Aldis B. He sets out to locate the alien's spacecraft. The alien escapes and tracks him down, leading to a shocking revelation that Aldis B has wiped out everyone aboard the ship, leaving only the alien in its pod.
