Episode Overview
The episode begins with Æon in pursuit of the ruthless Bambara, a man notorious for leaving a trail of harm in his wake. As she chases him through a train and onto a construction site, Bambara manages to evade capture, resulting in the tragic death of a worker. However, he is soon apprehended by Trevor Goodchild, who uses a peculiar robot to transform Bambara by inserting it into his navel. This device, known as a 'Custodian,' neutralizes Bambara's malevolence, making him amiable and enabling him to quickly bond with an orphan. Trevor explains that he intends to implant these Custodians in everyone. Meanwhile, Æon allies with a group of women determined to thwart Trevor's plans by removing the Custodians and ending his experiment. She sets her sights on Bambara's Custodian next.
