Intervention (2005)

S01E08 Tina

May 08, 2005 Season 1 Episode 8 Documentary, Reality

Episode Overview

Once the top student at New Hope Christian Academy, Tina now finds herself as a desperate housewife struggling to keep it together. Relying on 10-20 Vicodin daily, along with Percocet, she drifts through life while gambling away her mortgage and car payments. With most of her jewelry gone and living on paycheck advances, despite her husband Harley’s six-figure salary, Tina now works from home selling insurance. She spends her time at horse tracks and Bingo halls, often bringing her 3-and-a-half-year-old son along. Acknowledging the toll of her addictions, she admits, "my addictions have cost me my life." With their marriage, health, and finances in shambles—having spent "hundreds of thousands of dollars on gambling and pills"—Harley believes this show might be their last hope for salvation.
