Rene Russo

Rene Marie Russo, born on February 17, 1954, is an accomplished American actress and former fashion model. She began her professional journey as a model in the 1970s, gracing the covers of prominent magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan, establishing herself in the fashion industry.

Russo made her cinematic debut in the 1989 comedy Major League, and she quickly gained fame during the 1990s with a string of successful thrillers and action films. Her notable appearances include Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), In the Line of Fire (1993), Outbreak (1995), Get Shorty (1995), Ransom (1996), Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), and The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), all of which solidified her status as a leading actress.

After starring in the family comedy Yours, Mine & Ours in 2005, Russo opted for a five-year hiatus from acting. She made a triumphant return in 2011 as Frigga, the mother of the superhero in Thor, a role she reprised in Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
