Plot

In "Get Shorty," Chili Palmer, a Miami mobster, is dispatched to Los Angeles to retrieve a debt owed by Harry Zimm, a producer known for his low-budget horror flicks. Upon arriving, Chili encounters Harry's glamorous starlet, igniting an unexpected romance. Inspired, he pitches his own life experiences as a film concept. As Chili navigates the world of Hollywood, he discovers surprising parallels between the cutthroat realms of organized crime and movie production, blurring the lines between his two very different careers.
