Kaneto Shiozawa, originally named Toshikazu Shiozawa, was born on January 28, 1954, in Tokyo, Japan. He carved out a significant reputation as a voice actor and narrator, celebrated for his unique, sophisticated voice that frequently led him to portray both erudite and antagonistic roles. His chosen stage name paid homage to the esteemed Japanese filmmaker Kaneto Shindō.
Shiozawa's prolific career spanned from 1975 until his premature passing in 2000. He lent his voice to a variety of iconic characters, including Rei in the classic anime series *Fist of the North Star*, M'Quve in *Mobile Suit Gundam*, Iason in *Ai No Kusabi*, and Gray Fox in the acclaimed video game *Metal Gear Solid*.
