Nathalie Baye
Nathalie Marie Andrée Baye, born on July 6, 1948, in Mainneville, Eure, Normandy, is a distinguished French actress known for her extensive work in film, television, and theater. She embarked on her acting career in 1970 and has graced over 80 films throughout her impressive journey. Baye has received numerous accolades, including ten nominations for the César Award, winning four times for her performances in Every Man for Himself (1980), Strange Affair (1981), La Balance (1982), and The Young Lieutenant (2005). Some of her notable films include Day for Night (1973), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Tell No One (2006), and The Assistant (2015). In recognition of her contributions to the arts, Baye was honored as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in 2009.
Growing up in a family of painters, Baye's passion for the arts led her to a dance school in Monaco at the age of 14.
