Shozo Iizuka (飯塚 昭三, Iizuka Shozo) was a prominent Japanese voice actor hailing from Fukushima, recognized for his exceptional contributions to the field of voice acting. He completed his studies at the fine arts department of Nihon University, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career.
Iizuka gained widespread acclaim for his diverse voice roles, notably portraying Hakaider in the beloved series "Android Kikaider" and lending his voice to the villainous Doctor Neo Cortex in the hit "Crash Bandicoot" video game franchise. He also made significant contributions to the "Denshi Sentai Denjiman" series, where he voiced 38 out of the 50 Vader Monsters. His impressive repertoire includes memorable characters such as Ryu Jose in "Mobile Suit Gundam," Heart in "Fist of the North Star," and Nappa in the iconic "Dragon Ball Z." Additionally, he provided the voice for Sergeant Bosco Albert "B.A." Baracus in the Japanese dub of "The A-Team."
