Lee Tung Foo

Lee Tung Foo, also known as Frank Lee, was a notable Chinese American Vaudeville artist born in California. His diverse talents allowed him to perform in multiple languages, including English, German, and Latin. Transitioning to film later in his career, Lee made significant contributions to the entertainment industry.

At the age of 45, he ventured into the culinary world by purchasing the Jung Sy Mandarin Restaurant in New York City, which he successfully managed. He later opened a second establishment, Imig Sy, both conveniently located near the bustling Broadway theater district.

In the 1930s, Lee returned to his theatrical roots, taking on various minor roles. His film career gained momentum in 1932 when he portrayed Wang Yun in the mystery film *The Skull Murder Mystery*. He continued to accept supporting roles, including a notable performance as the servant of Detective Mr. Wong in the 1939 film *The Mystery of Mr. Wong*.

Lee's enduring legacy in cinema culminated in his final appearance in *The Manchurian Candidate*, where he played an uncredited role as a "Man in Lobby" at the impressive age of 87.
