Jodelle Ferland

Jodelle Micah Ferland has an extensive and diverse career in the entertainment industry, showcasing her talents across film, television, and commercials early on. Born on October 9, 1994, she made her acting debut in a 1998 episode of CTV's Cold Squad. By the age of six, she had already landed a leading role in her first feature film, Mermaid (2000), where her performance as the heartbroken character "Desi" earned her a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award, making her the youngest nominee ever at that time, as well as winning a Young Artist Award.

Her filmography includes notable works such as They (2002), Trapped (2001), and Carrie (2002). In television, she has made guest appearances on series like Smallville (2001), Dark Angel (2000), and The Collector (2004). A standout role came in Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2004), where she portrayed a haunted young girl. In 2005, she played the title role of "Jeliza-Rose" in Terry Gilliam's Tideland, a film centered on a troubled girl finding escape in her imagination following her parents' death. Other prominent films include the horror feature Silent Hill (2006), Hallmark's Pictures of Hollis Woods (2007), alongside Renée Zellweger in Case 39 (2009), and Matthew Broderick's daughter in Wonderful World (2009).
