Wonderful World (2009)

Plot

Ben Singer, a down-and-out children's folk singer and proofreader, struggles with his lackluster life and weekend parenting. His only solace lies in chess matches and lively discussions about game theory with his Senegalese roommate, Ibou. When Ibou falls gravely ill, Ben's deep-seated negativity appears justified. However, an unexpected visit from Ibou's sister, Khadi, challenges his outlook. Through her presence, Ben begins to understand that perspective can shift even the most cynical views, leading him on a journey of self-discovery and renewed hope.
