From a young age, Teresa Sánchez exhibited a profound passion for the performing arts, gravitating towards dance, music, and theater rather than traditional academic subjects. Her dedication to theater blossomed during a school break when she discovered the Centro Cultural del Bosque, a venue that ignited her enthusiasm for attending live performances. In high school, despite facing discrimination due to her size, she enrolled in a theater workshop, realizing that acting could be her true calling.

Relocating to Morelia, Teresa immersed herself in various theater workshops offered by cultural centers, participating in numerous productions. Her talent was recognized when she took part in a play showcased at the National Theater Showcase of Mexico, marking the beginning of her ascent in the theatrical world.

Teresa made her film debut with "¿Dónde están sus historias?" and subsequently appeared in "Jodidos polleros" (2007) and "Verano de Goliat" (2010), the latter earning her a nomination for Best Actress at the Ariel Awards in 2012.

Her filmography includes notable features such as "El silencioso" (2010), "Minotauro" (2015), and "La camarista" (2018), the latter securing her a second Ariel nomination, this time for Best Female Co-Actress. Through her unwavering commitment to her craft, Teresa Sánchez has established herself as a prominent figure in the Mexican film and theater landscape.
