He gained significant popularity portraying Del Cassidy on the beloved sitcom *Caroline in the City*. Lutes also showcased his talent as Jerry Stanton in the family film *Switching Goals* and as Jake Carlson in the series *So Little Time*, featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
