Jarl Kulle

Jarl Lage Kulle was a distinguished Swedish actor, director, and singer, renowned for his contributions to both stage and screen. He completed his studies at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school in 1949 and became an integral part of its ensemble, remaining there until 1995. Throughout his illustrious career, Kulle graced the stage in 76 productions at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm.

In 1959, he showcased his musical talents as Henry Higgins in the acclaimed production of "My Fair Lady" at Oscarsteatern in Stockholm, further establishing his reputation as a versatile performer. Kulle made his film debut in 1946, starting with a minor role, but quickly ascended to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, taking on significant roles as the charming hero and romantic lead.

Kulle is perhaps best remembered internationally for his standout performances in Ingmar Bergman’s classic films, including "Smiles of a Summer Night" and "Fanny and Alexander." His work not only left a lasting impact on Swedish cinema and theatre but also earned him recognition in the broader artistic community.
