Paul Dano
Paul Franklin Dano, born on June 19, 1984, is a talented American actor known for his diverse performances across film and theater. He began his career on the Broadway stage before making his cinematic debut in "The Newcomers" in 2000. Dano's breakout role came in 2001 with "L.I.E.," where his compelling performance earned him the Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance. His portrayal of Dwayne Hoover in the critically acclaimed "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006) further solidified his reputation as a gifted actor.
In 2007, Dano showcased his range with dual roles as Paul and Eli Sunday in Paul Thomas Anderson's "There Will Be Blood," earning a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His talent continued to shine in notable films such as "12 Years a Slave" (2013) as John Tibeats and "Prisoners" (2013) as Alex Jones. His performance as Brian Wilson in "Love & Mercy" (2014) garnered him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Dano ventured into directing with "Wildlife" in 2018, a drama adapted from Richard Ford's novel, co-written with his partner Zoe Kazan.
