Miki Maya

Miki Maya, born Miki Sato (佐藤美季), is a renowned Japanese actress celebrated for her illustrious career as a leading star of the Takarazuka Revue. She began her journey with the Takarazuka Revue in 1981, making her debut in the performance "Takarazuka Haru no Odori." Over the years, she garnered acclaim and eventually ascended to the pinnacle of the Flower Troupe, particularly noted for her exceptional portrayal in "East Of Eden," a role that solidified her status as a top star in 1995.

Miki's captivating performances and remarkable talent captivated audiences, and she became a beloved figure in the world of Japanese theater. After an impressive career, she bid farewell to the stage in 1998, concluding her tenure with the show 'Speakeasy.' This production was inspired by John Gay's 1728 ballad opera, "The Beggar's Opera," and featured her rendition of the evocative theme song, "Kaze no machi no junjō na akutō tachi" (風の街の純情な男たち).
