Margaret Blye
Margaret Jane Blye (October 24, 1942 – March 24, 2016) was a prominent American actress, often credited simply as Margaret Bly. She commenced her acting journey with appearances in a variety of well-known television series such as *Perry Mason*, *Gunsmoke*, and *Ben Casey*. Throughout her career, Blye showcased her talents in several notable films, including the 1967 classic *Hombre*, featuring Paul Newman, and the 1969 heist film *The Italian Job*. She also starred alongside James Coburn in the Western *Waterhole #3* and reprised her collaboration with Coburn in the 1975 action film *Hard Times*. Additionally, she took on a significant role in the horror flick *The Entity* released in 1981.
In her later years, Blye continued to make her mark on television with roles in series like *The Rockford Files*, *Hart to Hart*, and *Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman*. Notably, she appeared in multiple episodes of *In the Heat of the Night*, including the pilot.
