Jaroslav Dušek is a multifaceted artist renowned for his improvisational skills, theatrical performances, and directorial prowess. In addition to being a dynamic actor in film, he has made his mark as a moderator, librettist, and screenwriter. After completing high school, he began teaching creative acting and stage improvisation at the People’s Conservatory. His journey in the arts was significantly shaped by his two-year tenure as an assistant to Ivan Vyskočil, a figure who profoundly influenced his approach to contemporary theater. Following the 1989 shift in the Czech Republic, Dušek took on a role at the J. Ježek Conservatory and has also taught at FAMU, JAMU, and DAMU, mentoring notable talents such as Ester Kočičková and Jiří Macháček.

His most significant endeavor remains the theater company Vizita, which he co-founded with Jan Borna in 1981. While he continues to receive numerous comedic film roles, Dušek's theatrical work is where his improvisational flair truly shines, captivating audiences with unique performances that blend absurdity and humor. He has appeared in acclaimed films such as PELÍŠKY, MUSÍME SI POMÁHAT, and the Oscar-nominated ŽELARY.
