Yuliya Aug
Yuliya Arturovna Aug (Russian: Юлия Артуровна Ауг), born on June 8, 1970, is a notable Soviet and Russian actress recognized for her work in film and theater. Her filmography includes acclaimed titles such as *The Student*, *Ekaterina*, and *Leto*. Aug is also a member of the prestigious Gogol Center troupe.
Hailing from Leningrad, RSFSR, Soviet Union, Yuliya spent her formative years in Narva, Estonian SSR, where she developed a rich cultural background, influenced by her Estonian grandfather. In 1993, she completed her studies at the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, subsequently joining the Youth Theater named after A. A. Bryantsev. Over a decade, until 2004, she took on eight leading roles, showcasing her versatility in productions like *Woe from Wit* as Sophia, Pushkin's *Mermaid*, and Lady Macbeth in *Macbeth*.
In 2010, Yuliya pursued further education and graduated with honors from the directing department of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in Moscow, under the guidance of Joseph Raihelgauz. Her dual expertise in acting and directing continues to enrich her contributions to the performing arts in Russia.
