Vaughn Taylor
Vaughn Taylor (February 22, 1910 – April 26, 1983) was a distinguished American actor known for his compelling performances in both film and television. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Taylor's career spanned several decades and showcased his versatility across various genres. His notable film roles include appearances in iconic titles such as *Jailhouse Rock*, *Cat on a Hot Tin Roof*, *Psycho*, and *In Cold Blood*.
On television, Taylor made a significant impact with memorable guest spots on the anthology series *The Twilight Zone*, featuring prominently as the salesman in the episode "I Sing the Body Electric." He was also part of episodes like "Time Enough at Last," "Still Valley," and "The Guests" from *The Outer Limits*, where he portrayed Mr. Latimer. His talent was further showcased in productions such as *The Incredible World of Horace Ford* and *The Self-Improvement of Salvadore Ross*.
In 1958, Taylor took on a dramatic role in the western series *Wanted: Dead or Alive*, playing a doctor who meets a tragic fate. He appeared multiple times in *Coronado 9* during the 1960-1961 season and guest-starred in *The Hathaways* and the short-lived series *The Investigators*. A regular presence on *Perry Mason*, Taylor graced the show with eight appearances, starting from its first episode. He passed away in 1983, just two months prior to the release of *Psycho II*, the sequel to the classic thriller.
