Francis Goes to the Races (1951)

Plot

Francis and his owner, Peter, land jobs at a horse-breeding ranch in this amusing sequel to Francis the Talking Mule. When financial troubles threaten the farm, Francis uses his unique ability to predict race winners, leading Peter to some unexpected winnings. With newfound cash, he purchases a racehorse, but the horse's lack of confidence proves to be a challenge. Amidst managing the mare's insecurities, Peter also finds time to pursue the ranch owner’s niece while dodging gangsters eager to get a piece of the action.
