Brian Downey
Brian Downey, born on October 31, 1944, in Newfoundland, Canada, is a talented Canadian actor renowned for his iconic role as Stanley Tweedle in the cult sci-fi series *Lexx*. A versatile character actor, Downey has made significant contributions to film and television, including a memorable recurring role in the series *Millennium*. His film debut came in 1986 with Andy Jones' *The Adventure of Faustus Bidgood*, showcasing his unique comedic talent alongside the cast of CODCO.
Downey's collaborative journey with *Lexx* creator Paul Donovan began back in 1988 when he starred in the time-travel film *Norman's Awesome Experience*. More recently, he portrayed Cardinal Juan de Mella in Donovan's medieval thriller *The Conclave*. His impressive résumé also includes work alongside acclaimed actors such as Jessica Lange and Sam Rockwell, and he has collaborated with notable directors like Joe Sargent.
