Amanda Plummer
Amanda Michael Plummer, born on March 23, 1957, in New York City, is an accomplished American actress. She comes from a lineage of performers, being the daughter of renowned actors Tammy Grimes and Christopher Plummer. Plummer pursued her education at Middlebury College in Vermont and honed her acting skills at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. As a child, she developed a passion for horseback riding, spending time with horses both in the East Coast and Ireland.
Beginning her career in the early 1980s, Plummer gained recognition for her theatrical performances. She made her Broadway debut in the 1981 revival of A Taste of Honey, earning a Tony Award nomination and a Theatre World Award. The following year, she won a Tony Award for Featured Actress and a Drama Desk Award for her role as Sister Agnes in Agnes of God.
Transitioning to screen, she garnered acclaim for her portrayal of Alice Hackett on L.A. Law, earning an Emmy nomination. Plummer is also well-known for her roles as Yolanda ("Honey Bunny") in Pulp Fiction and Rose in So I Married An Axe Murderer, often characterized by her unique, eccentric characters.
