Plot

Criminal psychiatrist Jake Nyman seeks a break from his responsibilities with an unconventional road trip guided solely by the toss of a coin. Meanwhile, Sandra Thomas is on her way to retrieve her troubled sister, Alice, from a rundown motel before heading to visit their sick mother. Their paths cross when Jake rescues Sandra after a mysterious attacker forces her off the road. Drawn to Jake's reckless approach, Sandra embraces a newfound thrill in their relationship, which spirals into a chaotic mix of crime and chance. However, when Sandra vanishes, Jake unwittingly encounters the enigmatic Alice.
