Bono

Paul David Hewson, widely recognized by his stage name Bono, is an influential Irish singer-songwriter, musician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Best known as the dynamic lead vocalist of the renowned rock band U2, Bono's musical journey began in Dublin, Ireland, where he was born and raised. It was at Mount Temple Comprehensive School that he met his future wife, Alison Stewart, along with fellow bandmates who would later form U2.

As the primary lyricist for U2, Bono's writing often explores themes of faith, social justice, and political activism. His early lyrics contributed to the band's rebellious spirit and spiritual depth, while later works reflected more personal insights and experiences shared with his bandmates. U2's evolution has led to numerous critically acclaimed albums, establishing them as one of the most successful bands in music history.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Bono has collaborated with a wide array of artists and serves as managing director and partner at Elevation Partners. He is also a co-owner of The Clarence Hotel in Dublin, which he refurbished alongside bandmate The Edge. His contributions to music and humanitarian efforts have earned him prestigious accolades, including a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2007 and recognition as Time Person of the Year in 2005 alongside Bill and Melinda Gates. Additionally, on July 17, 2013, he was honored as a Commandeur of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, highlighting his impact on culture and society.
