Yoku Shioya
Yoku Shioya (塩屋 翼, Shioya Yoku), born Tsubasa Shioya on June 24, 1958, is a prominent Japanese voice actor, actor, and sound director. Originally hailing from Kagoshima Prefecture, he relocated to Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture at the age of five. He comes from a talented family, with his older brother, Kōzō Shioya, also making a mark in the voice acting industry. Currently, Yoku is affiliated with Pro-Fit.
Shioya's career began early; he debuted as a child actor at just eight years old. By the age of 14, he transitioned into voice acting, making his first appearance in the anime series *Umi no Triton* in 1972. Over the years, he has lent his voice to numerous characters in various anime, showcasing his versatility and talent. His contributions extend beyond acting; Yoku has taken on the role of voice director for notable projects, including *Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls*.
In addition to his voice work, he has established himself as a sound director, particularly in omnibus promotions, and is currently engaged with Sound Wing, where he continues to work on multiple projects.
