Hayley Mills
Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Mills, born on April 18, 1946, is a renowned English actress. She is the daughter of Sir John Mills and Mary Hayley Bell and the younger sibling of actress Juliet Mills. Mills embarked on her acting journey as a child and quickly gained recognition as a talented newcomer. She was awarded the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her role in the British crime drama Tiger Bay (1959), followed by the Academy Juvenile Award for her performance in Disney's Pollyanna (1960), and the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress in 1961.
In the early stages of her career, Mills starred in six films produced by Walt Disney, most notably portraying the twin sisters Susan and Sharon in The Parent Trap (1961). Her remarkable performance in Whistle Down the Wind, which was adapted from a novel penned by her mother, led to a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best British Actress. Mills' early success and versatility in various roles solidified her position as a significant figure in the film industry and established a lasting legacy in the world of cinema.
