He gained notable recognition for his portrayal of Liam Tyler in the popular British soap opera EastEnders, where he appeared from 1993 to 1995. Magee has made appearances in a variety of acclaimed productions, including the films Sahara (2005), Layer Cake (2004), and The Calling (2000). One of his significant roles came in the 2009 film 1066 The Battle for Middle Earth, where he played Ordgar, the Housecarl leading the Crowhurst contingent in a gripping retelling of historical events.
