Erika Toda
Erika Toda embarked on her journey in the performing arts at the tender age of 11, beginning her career as a gravure model by 13. After completing junior high school, she relocated to Tokyo to fully pursue acting. Her breakthrough came in 2006 when she captured audiences as Amane Misa in the live-action adaptation of the iconic series "Death Note."
Following her film debut, Toda gained further prominence by portraying Kanzaki Nao in the live-action series "LIAR GAME" and starring in the TBS drama "Ryusei no Kizuna." Her performance in the latter earned her accolades, including three Best Supporting Actress awards from the 2nd Tokyo Drama Awards, the 59th Television Drama Academy Awards, and the 12th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix. She is also widely recognized for her leading roles in the "Code Blue" series as Hiyama Mihoko and in "Keizoku 2: SPEC" as Touma Saya. Most recently, she starred as the heroine in the 2019 NHK asadora "Scarlet."
Known for her distinctive Kansai dialect, Toda is represented by the talent agency FLaMme. In her personal life, she announced her marriage to fellow actor Tori Matsuzaka on December 10, 2020. Throughout her career, Erika Toda has proven herself as a versatile and talented actress, earning a notable place in the Japanese entertainment industry.
