Katharina Schüttler
Katharina Schüttler, born on October 20, 1979, is a prominent German actress known for her work in both film and television. She made her acting debut in the 1992 film "Die Lok." Schüttler gained international acclaim for her performances in key roles, particularly as Clara Rosenbaum in "The Promise" (2011) and as Greta Müller in the acclaimed miniseries "Generation War" (2013).
Raised in Cologne, Schüttler comes from a creative family; her father is an actor and director, while her mother is a playwright. After completing her secondary education, she pursued formal training in acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media from 1999 to 2003.
In 2002, she portrayed the lead character in the German premiere of the play "Lolita," directed by Peter Kestmüller at Schauspiel Hannover. Schüttler is known for gravitating toward intense and radical roles, often depicting characters caught in profound existential dilemmas.
