Born in Lyon, she embarked on her cinematic journey at the age of 21 with her role in Michel Mitrani's *Les Guichets du Louvre* (1974). This marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with renowned filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier, appearing in several of his notable works, including *L'Horloger de Saint-Paul* (1974) and *Que la fête commence* (1975), the latter earning her a César nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
