Plot
During the summer of 1859, a widowed doctor, hesitant yet compelled, decides to embark on a five-day trek through the violent West with a recently liberated slave and her enigmatic white daughter. The mother is convinced that her child is possessed, while the physician suspects she is afflicted with a severe illness. Regardless of their differing beliefs, they must confront the unsettling truth that everything the girl comes into contact with mysteriously perishes. Their destination? A remote town where a Faith Healer is said to reside.
