Plot

This documentary explores the challenging lives of young sex workers in the Songachi red light district of Calcutta. When director Zana Briski set out to capture the lives of the prostitutes through her lens, she instead formed a bond with their children. Recognizing their potential, Briski initiated photography workshops, believing that this art could empower them to envision a brighter future beyond their circumstances.
