The Vigilantes Return (1947)

Plot

Marshal Johnnie Taggart infiltrates Bannack, Montana, disguised as outlaw "Ace" Braddock, aiming to restore order. His cover is nearly blown by Kitty, co-owner of the notorious Bull Whip saloon, who surprisingly remains tight-lipped. Trouble brews when Johnnie's friend Andy reports a stagecoach robbery, leading to suspicion from Sheriff and Judge Holden, instigated by Curtwright's henchman, Ben Borden. Johnnie eventually reveals his true identity to Judge Holden, who suspects Curtwright of leading the gang, sharing his thoughts in front of his granddaughter, Louise, complicating matters further.
