Plot
Marcellus Gallio, a jaded Roman officer, finds himself in possession of Jesus' robe after a drunken gamble following the crucifixion. Previously indifferent to faith, his perspective shifts dramatically when his slave, Demetrius, escapes with the sacred garment. Haunted by unsettling visions and guilt, Marcellus believes that ridding himself of the robe will alleviate his torment. This quest to reclaim the robe ultimately becomes a transformative journey, leading him to embrace the very beliefs he once dismissed.
