Plot
An ex-police officer, now a fugitive, creates a dramatic scene by threatening to leap from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD sends a skilled female psychologist to negotiate with him and prevent a tragic fall. Unbeknownst to the authorities, his apparent suicide attempt serves as a cunning distraction for an elaborate diamond heist unfolding below.
